Capturing Timeless Elegance:

A Super 8 Film Wedding Styled Shoot at a Tuscany-Styled Villa

Imagine the sun-kissed hills of Tuscany, the rustic charm of an old-world villa, and the enchanting romance of a wedding day captured on Super 8 film. This dreamy vision came to life at our recent wedding-styled shoot hosted at an exquisite Tuscan villa. With a team of talented creatives, we crafted a day of timeless elegance and unforgettable moments.

Perched among the rolling hills of Murrieta, The Villa at Gouvion provided a breathtaking backdrop for our shoot. Its rustic architecture, lush gardens, and intimate courtyards transported us to the heart of Italy, setting the stage for a day filled with romance and beauty, and inviting the audience to immerse themselves in the picturesque atmosphere.

The Dream Team of Vendors

Photographer: Mariela of Mariela Campbell Photography had a vision, mood-boarded it, designed it, created a call sheet, and shared it with my planner. I aimed to visually tell a story, capturing every delicate detail and heartfelt moment with a blend of artistry and emotion, composing and finding the proper lighting to bring the villa's beauty to life in every frame.

Videographer: Demetris—To complement the photography, we shot on Super 8 film, adding a nostalgic and cinematic touch to the shoot. The film's grainy texture and vintage charm enhanced the romantic atmosphere, making every scene feel like a timeless memory.

Wedding Planner: Willow Tree Weddings orchestrated the day with impeccable precision and creativity. From coordinating vendors to styling the villa's spaces, their expertise ensured that every element was seamlessly integrated, creating a cohesive and enchanting experience.

Florist: Dawn from The Nature of Things' floral arrangements were magical. Utilizing a palette of soft pastels and lush greenery, she adorned the villa with breathtaking bouquets, centerpieces, and floral installations that evoked the romance of the Tuscan countryside.

Bridal Dress and Tuxedo: The bride's ethereal gown from Beloved Bridal Couture featured delicate lace and flowing fabric, perfectly complementing the villa's romantic ambiance. The groom's dashing tuxedo from Generation Tux added a touch of sophistication and classic elegance.

Coffee Cart: Hooray Coffee added a charming touch to the morning preparations. They provided artisanal coffee that kept everyone energized and delighted. The vintage-inspired cart and expertly brewed coffee were a hit with the entire team.

Vespa Bar Cart: As the day transitioned into an evening celebration, Salud Modern Vintage Mobile Bar rolled in with a Vespa bar cart, serving refreshing cocktails with an Italian flair. The iconic Vespa, adorned with flowers, became a favorite spot for photos and added to the Tuscan vibe.

Rental Company: Adore Folklore & Catalog Atelier provided stunning furniture, decor, and tabletop rentals whose exquisite pieces enhanced the villa's aesthetic. Every item, from elegant seating arrangements to vintage tables, contributed to the shoot's luxurious feel.

Luxury Picnic: My sister company, MCP's Picnic Co., set up shop in a picturesque corner of the villa's gardens. The picnic featured plush cushions, gourmet treats, and delicate floral arrangements, creating an idyllic setting for intimate moments and candid shots.

Behind the Scenes: Behind every stunning image and film frame, there's a story of collaboration and creativity. Our behind-the-scenes gal Nika of BTSbyN, along with the couple, the vendors, and the entire team, played a crucial role in bringing the vision to life.

Cake and dessert: I asked for dried flowers, and I got them. I also asked for macarons adorned with dried flowers, and I got them. Lemon bars covered in pretty flowers were a surprise! Sugar Bloom Cakery and Coffee made such a delicious and gorgeous cake, which was everything I asked for.

Signage: A very popular floral box has emerged in the wedding industry with these gorgeous welcome signs that florists get to design with fresh florals to create a stunning welcome sign. Tallant Design Co. provided and made our gorgeous sign.

Last but not least, our models Joe & Liz were happily married, making our shoot much easier!

This Tuscany-styled villa wedding shoot celebrated love, artistry, and collaboration. Each vendor's unique talents contributed to a day that was not only beautiful but also deeply meaningful. As we look back on the Super 8 film and stunning photographs, we are reminded of the magic that happens when creativity and passion come together.
